Logistics & Forklift Safety Training

The Logistics and Forklift Safety Training Program features the latest technology and will prepare stu-dents with the skills needed to succeed in a career in the logistics industry. This program combines classroom theory, lab instruction and hands-on practical training in a state-of-the-art, 17,000 square foot working distribution center, equipped with a computer controlled carousel and conveyor, and of-fering a live material handling/logistics technology work experience. During the 60-hour hands-on pro-gram students gain shipping and receiving skills training on contemporary technology that meets or ex-ceeds current industry standards. Forklift equipment utilized during training includes propane lift truck, electric pallet truck, high-rise reach truck, slip sheet truck, clamp truck and order selector truck. Training includes industrial safety, forklift safety, inventory control, bar coding, picking and packing, shipping pro-tocols, RF radio frequency technology, and hand-held computers. At the conclusion of the course, stu-dents who have successfully completed the theory, lab and practical assessments will receive a certifi-cate of completion. When students learn about supply-chain logistics, the sky is the limit for career op-portunities.

***REFUND POLICY: With notification of cancellation from the student 24 hours prior to the start of class, tuition will be refunded minus the application fee. After start of class there is a no refund policy.***

***CANCELLATION POLICY: Courses and workshops are subject to cancellation if the minimum enrollment is not attained. In such cases, the student will receive a full refund, and he/she will be notified by phone at least 24 hours prior to the start of class.
