INTRO TO PLUMBING

This certificate program prepares individuals with the knowledge and skills needed for employment in the residential plumbing trade. The curriculum offers a basic framework of plumbing theory and pro-vides the hands-on skills needed to install, service and maintain plumbing systems in residential settings. Class includes instruction on safety, tool and material selection, methods to join and adapt pipe and fit-tings, fixture installation, and inspection and maintenance of plumbing systems. Students will have the opportunity to complete the OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety training. Through a partnership with Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors of the Lehigh Valley (PHCCLV) students will have the opportunity to job shadow with member companies, receive employment assistance, and earn credit towards the PHCCLV Apprenticeship program. ***REFUND POLICY: With notification of cancellation from the student 24 hours prior to the start of class, tuition will be refunded minus the application fee. After start of class there is a no refund policy.*** ***CANCELLATION POLICY: Courses and workshops are subject to cancellation if the minimum enrollment is not attained. In such cases, the student will receive a full refund, and he/she will be notified by phone at least 24 hours prior to the start of class.
